I’m no TV producer but…

master-chef

Master chef is quite a good show. Far too many ads, but then sending the team to Paris wouldn’t be cheap. This much I reluctantly understand.
What I just can’t  believe,  is that we had to sit and watch the contestants filling plastic bag after plastic bag whilst shopping for beautiful french ingredients in the open air market.
I’m no TV producer but… some beautiful re usable shopping bags to match the aprons would have been a nice touch. Maybe next time!
See what happens when you don’t consult the wasteman prior to production…

The things I think about…

The other day I bit the bullet and hired a small skip bin. The alternative was just simply too complicated.
The bin has since left. I actually wasn’t around when the bin was collected and carted away.
I can’t help thinking about the contents of the bin and where it is now. Everything that was placed into the skip is now sitting somewhere. I wonder where. Is is all together? Has it all been separated? Has it been buried? Where will it be in three months? Three years?
Am I strange to think about this?

skip tip

Same hole 3 days on

gutter-315x4201 gutter2
The photo on the right is the same hole / void only three days later.

If you look closely you will notice the cover to the pole has been moved around. It is possible (and indeed very likely) that someone has done some work right at this spot but just left the litter in the hole. They may have even added to it. I know it’s the council’s responsibility to clean this up. I’m just curious to know:

1. How does it happen in the first place.

2. Would a member of the public/community ever think to clean up a mess on the street?

3. How does this mess actually get cleaned up?

See previous post if you’re unsure what on earth I’m on about!

where there’s a hole…

gutterI see this sort of thing all the time. Where ever there is a hole or void of some sort, without doubt we will find a way to fill it up with waste.
As an experiment try placing a card board box (or other receptacle) out on the ‘nature’ strip and see how long it takes before it starts getting used as a bin.

ps Aplologies for the delay in posting (been over a month now). I’ve been re-ignited by an email from a ‘fan’ who wants to create a link… stay tuned!!
