Here’s a bin a spotted just the other day.
Heavens to betsy…when are we going to realize that we have to keep the food out of the ‘general waste’ stream. It’s far too valuable a resource and it just mucks all the other stuff up.
We need food bins!!!!

wasteman over &over

I know it’s been ages since my last post. It’s been a hectic time for the wasteman. But don’t worry…I’m not going to disappear anytime soon. Last year in Australia we generated close to 40million tones of waste. So there’s still plenty of work to be done.

The other day i had to go to hospital for a little procedure. Don’t worry, I’m fine.
At one point I was asked if I would like a drink at which point I replied that I wouldn’t mind a can of lemonade if they had one.
When the nurse brought the can, she also brought a plastic straw sealed in it’s own paper bag.
I didn’t use the straw. I never asked for it and in fact I asked that it be placed back into storage for the next person. The nurses didn’t have a problem with that. In a way I felt as though they new what I was up to and they actually appreciated the fact that I had not used the straw.
This may seem to most like a tiny little nothing but I can not stress enough…
It’s the millions and millions of tiny little things that make the difference and we are all capable.
